FAQ
How do I get started with therapy?
-
Contact me via telephone or e-mail for your 15 minute complimentary consultation. This consultation will help me understand what you are seeking to address in therapy and answer any questions you may have. We will also determine that our availability aligns in this call.

Where are you located?
-
At this time, I only offer telehealth services in the state of New Jersey.

What insurance plans do you accept?
-
I am in-network with Aetna, UHC, Oxford and Medicare. If you do not have any of these insurance carriers and have out-of-network benefits with your insurance plan, I am happy to provide you with a superbill (which is a specific type of receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for possible or partial reimbursement. If you’re interested in using out-of-network benefits, I recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and speaking to a representative for details about your specific out-of-network benefits.

What questions should I ask my insurance carrier regarding therapy services?

-
Questions to ask your insurance to understand your In-Network/Out-Of-Network Benefits:
1. Do I have benefits for mental health outpatient therapy? If the answer is no then your services will not be covered.
2. Do I have a deductible/co-insurance? If not, what is my copay? How would I get reimbursed for using my out-of-network benefits?
3. Do I need referral or pre-authorization for mental health services?
4. Is telehealth a standard benefit for this plan? What is the telehealth modifier for billing?
6. Are there limits as to many how mental health sessions I can have per week and per year?

What is your cancellation policy?

-
If you are unable to attend a session, please cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of the total expected costs of non-emergency healthcare items or services to non-insured clients.
-
Intends to offer predictability & transparency in how much clients will be charged for healthcare services prior to their appointment.
-
Includes all regularly scheduled appointments (i.e. therapy sessions).
-
Does NOT include no-shows, late cancellations, or other services related to crisis care, which by definition are unexpected and cannot be predicted for the purpose of compiling a Good Faith Estimate in advance.
-
May also include consultations with client collateral contacts, fees related to paperwork requests, and other administrative fees related to client care, when such items are scheduled in advance.
